2023 Top Rising DL Terrance Green on recruiting process & mesmerizing visit to USC

By:

“Recruiting for me has been awesome, I’ve dreamed of this as a kid and now I’m living it. I have 3 more visits planned before spring ball I’m thinking and during the summer is when I really plan to visit more schools. I’m loving and I’m definitely open to all schools!”

The process for Terrance was more than likely not always “awesome”. In fact, not many knew who he was coming into the season and Green did not end up on anyones radar or pick up his first division I offer in till three months into the regular season.

Green made is name known this past season as a gigantic beast coming of the edge for Cy Woods. Where he would end up picking up 40 tackles, 11 tfls, 1 PBU, 2 forced fumbles and 5.5 sacks on the season.

Since then Green has moved onto a lot of recruiting boards and rankings, picking up a total of twenty two division I offers from schools like Auburn, Baylor, Cal, Oregon, SMU, TCU and of course USC.

Green has the size, and skills that are next level at the moment and posses long term future success at the next level and possibly beyond. With big frame, lengthy arms, paired with his strength, and speed make him an unstoppable force in the trenches and coming off the edge that no many can stop. His pursuit to the football is amazing and moves very well for a guy 6-foot-5-inches tall and two-hundred-sixty-five-pounds.

Green recently took a visit to southern California to the city of angles, Los Angeles to list the USC trojans and the new head coaching regime lead by new head coach Lincoln Riley and staff. “The coaches and the whole staff(USC staff) was awesome, everyone had a vibe to them that was different. Showed great hospitality. –Coach Nua is a great guy and you can tell he is passionate about what he does and he loves his players no doubt. He is a perfectionist.”

The visit went good for Green who undoubtley enjoyed his time in southern cal and well undoubtley be making his way across the country to other campuses. No doubt the transition from Texas to California would be different for Terrance but theres no uncertainty on the way he felt.

“In general I loved everything about cali— from the weather especially because I’m (from)Texas it’s way different. There is no humidity just sun and breeze so I could get used to that for sure. The campus was next level, great people and everything you need is right there so I like that a lot. The city is awesome!! The facility is nice everything is accessible and it somewhere the players can continue to develop and become better athletes. I really like the strength and conditioning staff as well.”

The trojans made their offer back in Febuebary and since then the relationship between coach Riley and staff has been brewing. Green has not made clear any top contenders as of yet so it will be interesting to see how where USC lands on the list after the visit.

“The visit was awesome, I definitely plan on getting back soon!–I definitely feel like Lincoln Riley is going to bring USC back.”
