The Recruiting Trail: 2023 Klein Collins TE Ty Stamey heating up with offers.

By:

Before the beginning of the year. Not many had probably heard of the name Ty Stamey.

Theres good reasoning for that, if you didnt watch Klein Collins play last season. You might have missed this lengthy, big framed receiving looking tight end lining up on the outside and run routes just as well if not better than some receivers. All while still being able to block out in space and put guys in the dirt.

At the beginning of March, within a matter of less than thirty days , Ty Stamey went from zero offers to now 3 division I offers. Schools that have offered the newly uncovered talent; Air Force, Army, and most recently Penn football.

Ty is a tight end that could end up on alot of recruiting boards as he begins to make trips to college campuses around the country. Most recently coming off visits to Louisiana Tech, HBU, Sam Houston State.

Future visits for Ty include some programs like Utah, Rice, UNT, to name a few.

Once coaches get Ty on campus he definitely passes the eye test with his 6’5 frame and long arms. His catching radius makes him a perfect target and security blanket for quarterbacks who can throw out of reach of defenders and let Ty showcase his impressive hands, and ability to pluck the ball out of the air at its apex.

Universities are starting to take notice of one of Klein Collins new up-and-coming prominent tight end prospects who could very well end up with a few stars and double digit offers by the end of his senior season.

Eval by Emmanuel Charles-Lobo:

“Ty features a lengthy athletics frame, that is paired with his athletic ability to be a dominant receiver or tight-end and one that can still also block as well. We liked his frame on film, his long arms, and his ability to be a good hands catcher, definitely, one to keep your eyes on. FBS caliber athlete, given the ability to add more mass to his frame this offseason, could end up raising his stock and ending up on a lot of recruiting boards.”
