Here are some of my top Texas High School football quarterbacks to know in the Lone Star State. I will be providing evaluations and going through the entire list of quarterbacks we know here at tdrecruits and providing evaluations for all.
Spring football is just around the corner and we will be updating our rankings in April. Here are some of the top Texas High School senior quarterbacks heading into the 2025 season.
1. Keisean Henderson, QB, Legacy SSS, 6-2 / 180

KEISEAN HENDERSON, QB, LEGACY SSS, SI.com
Keisean is an average-sized quarterback at 6-foot-2. He has a rocket launcher of an arm with deep ball accuracy. He can easily launch the football 50-plus yards deep from the pocket and throws strikes on the run while rolling out to either side of the field. He avoids pressure in the pocket well and is a dual-threat quarterback who is slippery out of the pocket, able to make a few defenders miss on his way to the end zone. He could easily play multiple positions at the next level (QB, WR, etc.). His speed and agility are elite. He projects well to the next level and could see early playing time by his second year, if not sooner.
2. Quinn Murphy, QB, Liberty Christian, 6-1 / 180

QUINN MURPHY, QB, LIBERTY CHRISTIAN, X.com
Quinn is an average-sized quarterback who can make all of the throws at every level. Deep ball arm strength and accuracy are there, but can still be improved upon further. Quinn also features a quick release and good timing with his receivers, with good ball placement, putting the football where only his receivers can catch the football. He doesn’t have to set his feet to throw strikes and can throw a catchable football off-platform to receivers. A prototypical quarterback who can pick defenses apart from the pocket and can still avoid pressure from the pocket and pick up first downs or touchdowns with his legs if needed.
3. Jake Fette, QB, Del Valle, 6-2 / 185

JAKE FETTE, QB, DEL VALLE, El Paso Times
Jake has a lengthy athletic frame and is around average-sized for a quarterback headed to the Division I level. Rocket launcher of an arm. The kid can sling the football easily and doesn’t have to set his feet to deliver a nice, catchable pass. Works the pocket beautifully and can avoid pressure with ease. Displays the ability to throw on the run well and with great ball placement. I think his skills and mechanics will continue to develop and he will be a special quarterback at the next level.
4. Romin Seymour, QB, Elkins, 6-3.5 / 175

ROMIN SEYMOUR, QB, ELKINS, X.com
Romin looks like your prototype quarterback at 6-foot-3, can stand tall in the pocket and just deliver strikes downfield. Can make throws at every level, spreads the ball around evenly, and boasts a lengthy athletic frame with room to add more mass at the next level and really fill out. Throwing mechanics and footwork look solid. Of course, there are some things he can work on, like all the quarterbacks already mentioned. He could hold the football higher up near his ear and gets a little reckless running with the football as far as protecting the football, not keeping both hands on the ball or tucking and running with it. Overall, a solid quarterback with 12 Division I offers at the moment, and that number could double this season.
5. Grant Smith, QB, Grand Oaks, 6-4 / 180

GRANT SMITH, QB, GRAND OAKS, prepredzone.com
At 6-foot-4, Grant checks off a lot of the boxes as a next-level quarterback. He has a tall, lengthy frame with deep-ball capabilities and an effortless distribution of the football. He displays good ball placement, a quick release, and a solid three-step drop. He really sells the play action well and can hurt defenses from the pocket. He hits receivers downfield in stride with ease and makes the out route throws and throws over the middle look routine. I really can’t wait to see the performance Grant puts on the field this season. He is a solid Division I prospect who could see playing time early on in his career.
