2024 Tight end Rankings

By:

We kick the week of taking a final look at the class of 2024. Today it’s the top tight ends. We have some of the best playmakers at this position who could be real threats and dominate producers for their respective teams next season. Let’s dive right into the top tight-end recruits in the 2024 class to know about in 2022.

Watchlist

Ganeston Howard (24) | 6’3, 230 | TE | Eastern Hills

Ganeston could burst onto the scene next season. With his size and intangibles, worth keeping an eye on this prospect. Not much film to give a good evaluation at this moment, needs some more time to develop.

Kaleb Thomas (24) | 6’3, 220 | TE | North Shore

Has height and size, can play both ways. One that North Shore could develop into a series threat either on offense or on the defense of the edge getting after the passer.

Braden Smith (24) | 6’3, 240 | TE | Franklin

Has a great size and can block. Didn’t see too much route running but has the intangibles.

Rhys Phillips (24) | 6’3, 225 | TE | Tompkins

Looks very athletic with a lean frame. Needs more game tape but could develop into a top recruit at Tompkins.

Top Five

#5.Cooper Stevens (24) | 6’2, 215 | TE | Cy-Fair

Cooper looks like the next FBS caliber athlete who has time to add more mass to his frame and grow. Had significant playing time on varsity last season, blocked well on the LOS, played very physical, and shows adequate route running and hands needed for the tight end position.

#4.Greydon Grimes (24) | 6’5, 200 | TE | China Springs

Greydon is stock you could see sore and take off this year when the season begins and he’s making plays at the tight end position. Looks like he can play both ways off the edge as well, athleticism and skills bear out on the offensive side of the ball where he can show how his athleticism running routes and catching the football. Plays physical and can bock as well. Great size, and frame potential to add more mass and dominate the gridiron. FBS prospect whose stock could take off soon.

#3.Luke Carter (24) | 6’4, 220 | TE | Katy

Luke is one player that can be a dominant player for the Katy Tigers next season. He is a threat against the run and pass, he can block guys into the dirt, or outrun second-level defenders running crisp routes on his way into the end-zone. Great size, very athletic, lean-looking frame with great potential to add more mass.

#2.Ian Flynt (24) | 6’4, 230 | TE | Taylor

Ian is a tight end who has the size, speed, and skills to be an elite and dominant tight end at the next level. Blocks well at the LOS and out in space; also shows he can be a treat vertically because of his speed and athleticism. Will develop further into a prominent FBS prospect, hold interest to Texas A&M, Houston, UCLA, as well as others.

#1.Harrison Moore (24) | 6’5, 240 | TE | Southlake Carroll

Harrison is a next-level athlete already, one who can block and rack up pancakes at LOS or next level runs excellent routes, and has elite hands. His size paired with his athletic ability and size, make him a mismatch nightmare and one we suspect to have 20-30 division I offers plus by the end of his high school career. One who will dominate next season for the Southlake Carroll Dragons.
