We are capping the top class of 2024 players to know this fall with the top defensive backs. These are some guys that you may or may not know of yet but will be names that you will undoubtedly hear more and more of this year and this coming up season.
Braylon Conley (24) | 6’0, 170 | DB | Atascocita
Braylon could raise himself up a lot of rankings and recruiting boards this season. Conley is battle-tested against some tough competition in his division. Looks to be a corner who plays physically within a route and makes tackles. Can rack up TFL or come up with ints. Will be special for Atascocita and be one to develop into a highly ranked corner.
Joseph Brocks (24) | 5’9, 160 | CB | Rowlett
Brocks has been on fire this year with offers. He shows a knack for coming up with the football and making big-time plays look routine. Looks light on his feet, flips his hips well, and can run with the receiver stride for stride. Ball skills are phenomenal; can turn and locate the football easily. Possesses closing speed and flashes turn and run ability to shadow receivers or make a play on the ball. FBS prospect with a high ceiling for success for years to come. Will be special for Rowlett this season.
Justin Williams (24) | 6’2 188 | S | Oak Ridge
Williams is a playmaker that can make his way into the backfield and rack up this, shows excellent closing speed, and can lay the lumber on ball carriers. Speed and size are elite, holds 5 total division I offers.
Kayden Cooper (24) | 6’1, 185 | S | New Caney
The dangerous athlete is also on a special team who can make a house call anytime he touches the football. Kayden is an elite athlete who is also very versatile; can play special teams, or defense and dominate anywhere. With the elite speed, agility, and range that Cooper has it’s no wonder he could be a top recruit and impact player for New Caney this season. of the field at the safety position with the requisite height and size. A highly productive player tracks the ball, and attacks the football in the air. looks light on his feet and flips his hips well which gives him the ability to run with the receivers. FBS prospect who will have plenty of offers and be highly ranked.
Eli Bowen (24) | 5’9, 165 | DB | Guyer
Bowen could easily Eli rise to be one of the top recruits in his class, and has this season to prove it. He is battle-tested against some pretty tough competition playing for Guyer. Played well last season, and looked very light on his feet in his backpedal, with excellent awareness and closing speed getting to the ball carrier and making a play on the ball. Guyer has two lockdown defenders in the Bowen brothers. Eli projects to be a highly rated defensive back in his class.
Keiondre Lewis (24) | 6’1 ,180 |S | Del Valle
Don’t be surprised if you hear more of Lewis’s name this fall making plays and picking up a bunch of offers out of Del Valle. Lewis is a versatile player on the field with a long, lengthy frame, and arms that can cover well out in space, smooth in his backpedal, shows good ball skills, and the ability to come up with the big-time plays. Makes the big plays look routine, can come away with the interception or play in the box to make a tackle for loss in the backfield. Great open-field tackler with a high motor and physical nature that is able to translate to tackling ability.
Aaron Flowers (24) | 5’11, 180 | S | Forney
Grab the popcorn when you watch this guy’s film. Flowers will make your jaw hit the floor and your eyes widen when you see him light up a ball carrier. Physical nature that translates to tackling ability and knocking receivers off routes or making a play on the ball. Last season he racked up 58 total tackles, with 10 PBU’s and 2 interceptions. Shows he can play receivers pressed or floated off the LOS, ball skills and awareness on the field are elite. With this prospect, you could see an immediate impact from a production standpoint at the next level. Holds five Divisions I offers to schools like Baylor, SMU, and Texas Tech.

Maurice Williams (24) | 6’1, 185 | DB | Shadow Creek
Maurice has been on fire this year with offers rolling in from all over the country. Who being the latest to offer Shadow Creek’s star defensive back on the rise? LSU, Oregon, TCU, and Florida State to name a few. Maurice is a threat on special teams and on defense which has raised his name amongst the elite in the nation because of his speed and athleticism. Maurice plays with a hard-nosed physical nature and a high motor with elite speed. Plays well against the run and pass for Shadow Creek and can make plays on the football. Highly rated athlete with a total of 9 Division I offers the last time we talked about him during our rankings, now he is up to 12 and that number doesn’t have an end in sight anytime soon. Can’t wait to see this guy on the field this season.
