The blue devils were some of the first to get Davis onto campus and build up interest with game-day invites so he could get a feel of the environment and campus back in November of last year for two games against duke vs Pitt and duke vs the U.
Although being among the first to offer Davis at the start of this year, Duke was not the first to get Davis onto campus.
Prior game to invites included visits to campuses for Davis included trips to UT, Maryland, OSU, La Tech, after receiving his first Division I offer from Morgan State.
Soon to follow his first offer would be a flood of a total of 17 division I offers for Davis from schools like Cal, Florida, Ole Miss, SMU, and Utah to name a few. Davis will undoubtedly pick up some more offers as time goes on until the end of his senior season.
The flurry of offers came for Davis after a most impressive junior season campaign. Davis put on a show and helped Katy to many victories with his explosive burst of speed and acceleration out of the backfield. He can make one or two cuts and be off to the races the speed to go often untouched adding points for the Katy Tigers.
As you can tell, a lot of thought, consideration went into this for Davis and he took his time traveling to different campuses but obviously liked what he saw and felt the love at the Blue Devils campus before making his commitment.
In his two years as a starter for the Katy Tigers, Davis has dominated on the ground with just over 4,200 yards and 46 rushing touchdowns on 438 attempts which is an average of a first down every time Davis touches the ball (9.58 yards per carry).
